86 mustang inexpensive performance mods
Hey 5.0 guys, I'm a 2nd owner of an 86 gt EFI. Basically stock with the exception of a K&N
air filter. I'm looking at doing some inexpensive mods and would like your advice. I'd appreciate
your knowledge in this situation.

nothing is cheap. u have 200hp stock and like 294 or so torque.
86 5.0 can correct me, welcome to the 86ers club

im looking for a 97 explorer intake and throttle body for better flow and the heads that are on it too cus they are better. i dont think u can really run much of a cam cus of the flat top pistons. u can get a big 4 barrel carb and intake and a msd ignition and go that route too, eliminates all the expensive crap associated with the efi system and computer crap. im very tempted myself to do it

simple mods are K&N filter + removed silencer, take off smog equipment if your state allows it, better exhaust, gears, sticky tires, bump timing, short throw shifter, and i think thats it...
might wanna do a full tune-up first though
