the 351 makes too much torque for it too handle

just grab an 8.8 or 9

you can either drive it for a short while untill you break your axle, or you can just go ahead and get a new one anyway and put the original on craigslist

then get a job on your birthday

either way i am saying that 7.5 is not and was never a good axle. it just wont cut the job, sure its great for a stock 2.3, but this about it, 5.8 is 3.5 more then 2.3

it wont sustain itself on hope and dreams alone

i bet the guy on PINKS wouldnt flag you.. knowing you had a 7.5
ever see an axle break at the line, after about 10 to 15 feet out.. goes straight in the wall sometimes.
i saw a mustang leave the line with a 7.5 in it about 15 years ago... broke both axles at the same time
it was funny, never seen anything like that.. the car just sat down!!
but if i was you , i would invest in an 8.8, seriously.
i had an 84 capri (stock)302 5 speed.. the ugly ones with the bubble back window.. i bolted slicks on it the first pass.. i moved about 6 inches lol
