Default '71 351C in a fox questions

i have the opportunity to buy a 71 cleveland motor out of a torino. I was wondering if this motor had the 2v or 4v heads?
is it worth it to port the heads on the cleveland motor?
What kind of power will the cleveland motor make in my 1987 lx?
I like the idea of using a cleveland because it sounds like i can make alot of power with the stock heads vs. buying a windsor and having to buy a set of $1200+ heads and id been wanting to go carbed anyway to avoid the mass air conversion.
I can get the whole motor for $600.
one more thing, how long will my t5 last with the cleveland? I dont plan on doing alot of drag racing but some mostly a street car.
what modifications other than oil pan and headers are required to put this into my fox?
thanks for the help

clevelands are the best motors ever IMO

2V or 4V both are awesome, just look on the motor top corners if theres a 4, its a 4V or if its a 2, its a 2V

the heads dont really need to be ported, there awesome heads stock

thats a great deal if thats a 4V cleveland, get that sucka cleaned up, forged internals nice intake a carb, hookers, that will be a BEAST.

a t-5 might be enough for a stock cleveland, but it wont last very long against a modded one, you will need a tremec

good luck!

IIRC SBF engine mounts will all work with each SBF, even the cleveland, since its TECHNICALY a small block, even though its huge physically and has potential to make huge naturally aspired power

it will be a vry tight fit into a fox and will be alot of work, theres a reason the torino engine bay is about 3 times bigger then your fox

i would buy the cleveland anyway and build it up and find a car for it to go in, erm, like that torino for instance, the 71 torino is a beautiful car
