Thats ALOT of compression, what class are you building this motor to run in cause with that compression, lift and carb this will not run on the street besides going from driveway to trailor.
I got a 408 with a 950 on it at 11 to 1 with a victor top end and eagle bottom I get 2 to 3 miles to the gallon on 93 octane which nets me 30-40 miles to the TANK. I can't imagine that onrace gas at 8 a gallon

I really don't know what kind of mileage I am getting. I wish I could get by with $8.00 a gallon race fuel. The VP Fuels C16 is $10.75 a gallon which is the best price I have found.
Too bad all the good street racing has really got cracked down on. It would be one hell of a street race car.

i had what was basically a 30 over 351 with forged pistons, pretty big flat tappet cam, stock windsor jrs ( which i think were too small ) vr jr intake and 750 carb. in my 86 coupe with a 3500 stall covertor , c4 and 373s i ran consistent 11.90s on dragradials, ( 11.70 @ 115 ) was my best and i ran 10.70s with a 150 shot @ 124 . I've hada dozen 302s and this was my first 351. Spend the money on a 351 , you'll have a stronger block, more torque and plenty of room to grow
p.s i'm building a stroker out of a lightning block so i sold it to a friend of mine and he put it in his ranger, with a 200 shot of nitrous he's gone 10.30s @ 129

wow 10.75 a gallon that has to be 116 octane leadedrace gas, I purchased 106unleaded at 6.50 a gallon not two months ago. Even then you can go to local airports and get 100LL airplane gas for less then or abouts 5 a gallon if leaded gas does not pose a problem for ya.

i have couple things to say for one this block and combo will handle 900hp,two show me a stock block that can go out to 4.125,three tell me why you think this can't be driven on the street cause i built this car to be on the street and it has seen plenty of street time and as far as the 11-1 car that only gets 2-3 mi to the gal i would say theres something wrong with that cause i could get 75 miles on this with 116 fuel and 10gal cell i've done it!!!!! one more thing mitch if you think about e85 you better think about talking with patrick at pro systems before just trying to run it
