Default '98 V6 gone... 351W in!

Alright here it is....

First off, Thank you deadcarnahans for all your help!

I bought the car at age 16 from a junkyard in Alabama. My uncle, dad and I fixed it up and I drove it for years as is with the V6 in it. Well as I got older, I drove it less and less. Hated the fact that it had a "race car" paint job with nothing to back it.

Thus I planned the swap. Now 22, I found a 351W in a junkyard that was a new ford long block put into a '85 F150. Was in there for about 2 days and burned to the ground. Sucks for them but Damn.... Lucky me. After tearing it apart I was suprised to say the least. Here sits a .030" over motor that still had cross hatches in every cylinder. Hell, the bottoms of the lifters werent even scuffed.

The install.....

I wanted streetable set up.
.030" 351W block
stock internals
Edelbrock RPM heads
RPM intake
650 Edelbrock carb
Cam is 224* .496/.520
MSD distributor
BBK longtube Fox body 1 3/4" headers.
Flowtech glasspack turndowns for time being =) (ouch my ears)

Swaped V6 7.5" rear end out for 8.8" w/ 4.10's
Shortend driveshaft.

stock 4R70W trans with Buamann TCS controller. (Special thanks to carl Buamann!)

Let me know what you guys think! =)

Now the second project.........

Still in the paint booth as of tonight. I will get back with the final pics. Planning on read pearl over base coat and trying to do ghost rally stripes with it.

Leave some comments =)

Well done. And, thanks for the honor.

There is no way I could have put that car car together as fast as you.
You must really be motivated.
