hell i'm using an aftermarket block cause i'm an idiot, and will want more

438 is most likely what i'll end up at...650hp at 6500...it's plenty.

Want an easy 600 HP on pump gas with a 351W? Get and early 70's windsor block. Buy a Scat 9000 series 4 inch stroke crank. Go with scat 6.250" H beam rods and Probe 14617-030 pistons with an 11 cc dish. This will give you 408 inches with canted valve notches in pistons. Now get AFD SP4VS heads and a CHI intake for a 351W. 1 7/8 inch headers to 2 inch with a minimum of 3 inch collector. Go carb in the range of 950 HP or better and a good ignition system and 3 inch exhaust.

Try for 10.5 to 10.8 to 1 compression and go with a tremec TKO 600 tranny with 3.73 to 4.10 gear. With a tight lash solid roller cam and about a 2500 to 7000 RPM range the car with absolutely fly on motor only. Low 10's maybe high 9's with the car set up right. You will shock people when they see you are doing this without a power adder.

The rods will be about 630 grams and the pistons will be 445 grams and the crank is not too heavy either. This will let the engine twist up quick and make the car accelerate like a "Raped Ape" It may even crest more then 600 HP on engine. The heads and intake will support it for sure. And you need mostly OTS parts to build the Wolf in Sheep's clothing.

is there a lot of machining to get the 427 stroker in a 351? as far as the crank shaft clearance and all?

would it be worth going with a 427 instead of a smaller stroker kit?
