Default 393 Stroker Ran 11.11 at 120MPH,need combo help..

Car has all stock suspension, 4.10 gears 28. by 10.5 15 mt drag slicks, c4 transbrake 4000stall, 393 stroker with a 614 621 lift cam with 1.6 rr 215cc pro topline cast heads, victor jr intake 850demon carb, msd dizzy and 6al box with 7000rpm chip, bbk lt headers dumped with 40 series flows, motors 11.5.1 comp car ran a 11.11 at 121.8mph with a 1.5 60foot and .1 r/t The carb has a 37 long shot in the front and 31 squirter in rear... Not sure about the jets.. we ran 114 purple gas.. Car ran consistant 11.20's all day.. This is all with no tach ( tach broke at the track) Looking to make a few changes to possibly hit high 10's... would a 950 carb help or hurt it? I have a 950 hp carb..

that car is running good numbers! you need to find out what rpm your turning when you hit the stripe, you should be at or near max rpm to get the most from your combo, if your not then a gear change might be in order esp with a 28" tall tire. if you can borrow a set of 26" tall slicks and your times improve then you need more gear. and as joel said if you have the carb try it or youll never know.

aright ill try the carb.. Ya i figured that was soem good times.. This was the first the cars ben out since being built.. When the 11.11 pass was made first gear was short shifted , Were going back down with a tach in the car this time and see what happends.. It felt like it was screaming going though the traps.. but then again the difference between 6 and 7000rpm is prob hard to hear, ill get the videos up soons i get the cord for my digital cam...

get the motor tuned maby? Sounds to be running quite quick for a 393 i cant believe your disappointed lol.

hey not that i am dissapointed i am just trying to break a 10.90 how it sits lol so i am looking to see if there r any other combos that i could do the car. thanks
