Default First 351

Hi guys i just got my first 351 W. I'm curious to what year and what it is. I got what appears to be a model number off a sticker of the valve cover. D9TE-9C485-BTA.
Wondering if that means anything or if someone can point me in the right direction as how to get and decode the vin.

Also motor is carb'ed. I want to going fuel injection so if i'm wanting to use my 5.0 injection parts all i need is lower intake? or no? any insight is appreciated.

D9 = 1969.
T = Truck
E = Engine
9C485 should be a part number
BTA is design changes

Sorry I made a error, its a 1979 block
D is the decade C=60's D=70's E=80's F=90's
second number is the year '79 in your case.
Sorry for the screw up, it was still early and I was on my first coffee.

try to google "ford casting numbers" that will give you info.
