Default 94 351 block

Don't these blocks come as hydraulic roller or are they still flat tappet?

Roller block. Should see F4TE stamped on it.

Though F4TE is a designation for 1994, I have heard of those casting being in 93 lightnings, from the factory. However they did not come with roller lifters or a roller cam, but were fully capable. In fact I have a '95 block out of a van that did not have a roller setup installed but all I needed was the roller lifters, the dogbones, spider tray and a roller cam, no drilling and tapping needed.

All 94 and newer 351 blocks were roller cam ready as after 93 Ford revised the block design to be more efficient with roller cams. Although some of the vehicles didnt recieve roller cams all the blocks were still the same and could be set up either way.
