Default 1986 351w engine specs. . . ?

Thinking of buying a 351w from an 1986 Bronco but I cant really find any specs on it. I've heard that pre 72' 351w block are stronger so what can this block handle? Also would it have 2 bolt main caps, if its carb would I be able to switch it to EFI? Any help would be much appreciated. Tryin to build a Single Turbo 96' street/strip car, HP goals 550-650hp. Thanks.

the stock 351w block can handle about 700hp. it should have 2 bolt mains. as for switching to efi i believe that its just a new intake and all electronics and fuel accessories to make it work. if you get a 351w out of a 94 or newer then it is a roller block which might save u some time and money if u go that route

$200 for a complete out of that bronco. . he said that it had an after market cam so wouldn't that lead me to believe that the motor may have been rebuilt before. . .

maybe, maybe not.

86 broncos came with 2 different motors, a HO motor which had a four barrel carb and intake, and a non-ho which didnt. My guess is it is an HO motor, an aftermarket cam would only mean that chances are all the gaskets on the upper portion of the engine have been replaced. It is a 2 bolt, non roller motor with the wrong oil pan for a mustang so you will need a swap kit, it is v-belt, has a mechanical fuel pump, and if its anything like mine, pretty ballsy.
