Thumbs down Please read... 302 out, 351 in! ????

Anyone that can help, please do. I have a question. I have an 89 302 that i'm pulling out. I have a '78 351w (non roller) going in. Please note that I already have the right flywheel and balance for the 351. Here are the question...

1. I have GT40x heads with '93 cobra rockers 1.7's, and a Ford B303 cam. Can I use all that on the 351 if I get the roller lifters that are tied together and 351 pushrods?

BTW if anyone is wondering my 306 took a sh-t on me, thats why I'm stripping all that off and wanna put it on my 351

I guess what I'm asking is can I put the B303 cam in my 351w and just get the link style hydraulic roller lifters and proper pushrods and be ok? I'm gonna get the heads bolt holes bored for 351 bolts. I just need to order lifters and I've seen people have retrofitted non roller 351's by using those lifters. True?

Yes you can but do you really want to spend $500+ on linked lifters just for the Bcam?

Well, my options are limited due to funds. I just paid 4500 for the 89 with freshly built 306 with all that stuff on it. I think a wrist pin or something went in the 5.0. I've had a fresh 351 that I had built up for a swap but its non roller. I've found the link lifters for 330 so i dont know man. I have a lot of wants but lack the dollars. haha

you could always just run a nice flat tappet cam. it will work just fine and cost much less
