Default headder selection help plz.

Hi guys i'm in need of a little help here. I just finished installing my 408w in my 88 foxbody coupe. I have a tubular k member and using solid motor mounts. Now by looking at the clearances i have, it doesn't seem to be alot of room for headders. What would you guys recommend.
I have seen mac makes shorty headders and hooker makes long tubes.
I'm using a p.a performance bellhousing that can be used with either 157 or 167 t flexplates for c4 trans.
I'm hoping someone can chime in and give me there experience so i only have to buy headders once lol.
Thx for any help for thoughts. Car is strictly for drag racing.

lots of big tube headers come like that to make install easier. I would not even think about a shorty header on a 408 unless it was for a turbo set up.
