need a little help on a 351 build/swap

well, you have to figure... your car has a 302. You wont be able to you ANY of your stock parts on the 351, especially shooting for 400bhp
so, a new carb, full fox 351w conversion kit, flywheel(flexplate), harmonic balancer, headers, intake, heads...
this isnt a cheap hobby. If you are on a tight budget, go buy a longblock out of an explorer, put an F-303 in it and toss on a supercharger. You can do 400bhp for about $4k

i am going with the gt40p heads im taking them to a buddy and having valve job and clean them up
351 from my 96 bronco
some sort of headers most likely bbk long tubes
not sure on cam yet
what i need to know is ive read alot about the balance issues. but that seems for 80 5.0
i have an 01 302 what will i need to do to get my 351 to the t5

Those heads are a HORRIBLE choice for a 351w
Your 351w uses a 28oz imbalance, so your balancer and flywheel will NOT work.
Leave the 302 together, put an F cam in it, and buy a used supercharger kit.

what i dont understand is i have search all over and talked to a few people that say opposite of what your telling me. the 40ps are better than the stock heads and with a port job they can flow pretty well. im not tryn to call you out and be an *** but im just trying to understand. many people bronco people, mustang, thunderbird guys all stating that the gt40p heads are better than the stock e7.
now would i be better off to get long tubes, cam do the head work and throw it all together with the 302? i would still think the 351 will make more power but maby im wrong. i want a stop light to light car i will most likely only see the strip one or two times the whole time i have the car
