Ok thanks I am getting the motor on sunday. I am still undecided on what to do which is cheaper small displacement and fi or a 408

TF 210cc heads ported by Fox Lake, custom grind hyd or solid roller, either a 90mm TFS R or Box-R intake, or a Victor or Super Vic for EFI on an 11:1 408W shortblock.

hold the f*ck on when you're done ^^ that motor will be close to 600-700hp and wind out to 7000 all day long

and be happyhappy on 93 pump gas

FWIW a 450hp 351W will be offset by the weight gains and slower revving nature of the bigger motor, youd be better off doing a 347 off a 302...

My big thing is I want it to be a reliable engine. I'm going to try and take all the steps to do this right the first time

ok i have made up my mind i think in going to go with the 408 kit can any of you guys that have done it give me a cost estimate of what you have put in to build them

sell your dirtbike and youll have a good starting budget...

for a nice 408W about $8K all said and done

and actually the block im going to be getting is a 95 that should still be good for around 700

Mine all said and done cost me 6700.00 ran 10.23 at 136mph first time out track officials told me cage or don't race so all in all a 408 will run hard

Awesome that is what I want to hear. Can u guys post some links for good fuel injection inake manifolds for the 408 set up
