Default need some help!

Okay 351 guys...I'm going to sell my Cobra and buy a fox notch and build a 408w stroker car.

Will any of the 351w blocks work? I understand that a LOT of parts are interchangeable between the 5.0 and the 5.8. I'm not too sure what was changed between years on the 5.8. I've found one on CL out of a 69 torino. Will something like that work? I plan on staying EFI.

if you have found a true 69 (C9) block, than you have yourself one of the best starting platforms around. One thing you might find some difficulty with is the 9.48" deck height. While not a show stopper, it will cause some problems when it comes to rotating assembly selection.

on a 408W N/A build you might as well go grab an F4TE block out of a 94-97 F250, theyll accept hyd roller cams and with a 408 the rpms wont be too absurd 6500 or so.

plus you'll have a 9.500" deck to start out with and a 1pc rear main seal

that bottom end, a single plane, plus some 210cc TF heads and a decent cam will be an animal...
