Default 351 w heads question

So today when I went and picked up my cobra intake manifold I got a pair of 351 Windsor heads with it for only 100 more bucks. The heads have got double valve springs, new valve guide seals. All work done from a machine shop and the heads were decked. Only about 20k miles on them since then. My question is I'm building a 302 with a cobra intake, b303 and I was think gt40p heads. Don't judge me, but would it be better to use the 351 heads for my build. Or stick with the gt40p heads? The heads have dl8 stamped on them.

Are the 'double valve springs' really a double (both springs round) or is the inner 'spring' flat.
If it's flat those are single springs with a dampner.
I would stick to your original plan or even find some aftermarket heads......

Use the gt40p's. From my understanding, the 351w head is essentially the same thing as the e7 head. Plus you'll get better spark distribution with the p's. Unless the head had the valve pocket machined, then they probably aren't dual springs.
