400hp 351w N/A

thanks..they are cast aluminum..they were clear anadized that had the an fitting welded on later for an evac system..it messed up the finish a little so i had a black crinkle powdercoat applied to them...needed something tall to clear the t&d shaft mount system.

So true but when the machinist and vendor boasts the same, and the crazy dough i had invested in thus far not in just parts but in the machining side of things along with weeks of researching.... I kind of already know what the end result be.

So if the vendor and machinist say it'll make 700, are you going to believe that too? Does what you researched have credentials?

The 351w is a torque maker for trucks. It will do 400hp, but here are the secrets from my engine builder.
If you want to make power, you have to buy light internals, high compression pistons for your heads ,headers, heads, cam, intake, cold air intake.
The next trick is proper lifter rod alignemt, most folks get them too short or too long, and just go cranking the nuts down, dont do that, look up the procedure and get an adjustable lifter pushrod for your application, as this casuses binding and robs over 40+HP.
The next trick is when you have the engine honed MAKE SURE THEY USE BLOCK PLATES,AND THE BLOCK IS WARM TO THE TOUCH WHEN DOING SO-RIGHT OUT THE HOT TANK, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL CAUSE BORE DISTORTION and over 30+HP, more when the car is warm.
The final is use light oil and oil pan scraper/or whatever you call it get oil off the crank.
Its the stuck the naked eye does not see, that always bite you in the rear at the dyno and leave you stumped after you spent all that money.

Yeah they will actually. There was an article where they took a junkyard 351w, cleaned it up, new heads, cam and bolt ons. then they made 450 NA. then they twin turboed it and made over a 1000 on stock internals. that was at the crank.
