I don't get it? They blew the engine up before they ever installed it in a car. All they proved is that it's gonna break. I don't know about you but I'd like to have a motor that runs more then once.

I think the whole point was to show what the 351w can take before it lets go.

Well I guess they should change the name of the article to "how to break a 351". Or good luck making 1000hp more than once. LOL

actually if you read the article, they fessed up that it broke because of how they were running it on the dyno. And 1000 HP on a junk yard SB motor is pretty incredible once ya think about it!

Yeah. when you look at guys like Brad Brand that were running over 2000 hp 15 years ago on 351W strokers it's not that surprising. If you really got crazy I think you could push 1500 rwhp an keep it street legal if done right.

Fairly easy to convert a 351W to 4 bolt mains. Milodon (I think) makes the caps. Engine will need to be line bored but that's necessary anytime you change cranks...
