Well if your boost gauge is mechanical then there shouldn't be anything to wire up except the light.
The air/fuel ratio gauges are wired to an O2 sensor before the cats. It shouldn't take all day IMO, i bet they ran longer than expect on other jobs and didn't get to it today.

Which is the preferred boost gauge: Mechanical or electrical and why.
If no real concerning reason to NOT go with a mechanical boost gauge then heck, I'll order a SOS pillar pod and mechanical boost gauge tonight (the prices of electrical gauges is holding me back). TIA.
