Default 1972 Mustang Sprint Spirit Fastback

I have this wonderful 1972 Mustang Sprint BOlympic Spirit SportsRoof Fastback, V8 351, automatic. Eight hundred of these cars were made to honor the 1972 Olympics. It has 97,000 original miles, and is in very good, non-restored condition.

Although it's breaking my heart, I must sell this car.Best offer over $15,000 by September 30, 2007.

Thanks!

I know us '72 Sprint owners hope & wish our special edition Sprints are worth what we want them to be. But in honesty, they are not at this time. The big body Mustangs ('71-'73) are not bringing the money like the earlier years. We picked up our '72 Sprint coupe, all original, unrestored, running, that needed some TLC for $5,000. And saw others, Coupes & Fastbacks, that needed restoring for between $8,000 to $10,000. Maybe in the next few years this special edition will be noticed and the Mustang lovers that want one of these Mustang that were only produced during a 4 month period in 1972 will be out there looking, either to restore their own or one already restored.

And to correct her information from above, there were a total of 9,383 of these '72 Sprints produced. 6,247 Coupes, 3,086 Fastbacks, and only 50 Convertibles. The convertiblescame with a 302 engine and Package A only. The coupes and fastbacks were offered witheither Package Aor B, and came in 4 engine choices: L-250-1v, F-302-2v, H-351-2v or Q-351-4v, which is the rarest.

Now can we get more Mustang lovers interested in these '72 Sprints??? It was a challenge to find one in good running condition at a fair price - took us 1 year to locate.
