what are the most common problems and headaches with our fox bodies?

probably a dumb question but what is a torque box and what does it do lol i looked it up in the index on my haynes and chilton book but it was not listed

I'd have to say electronics. I've had a short on something, and it would take me a month or so to finally figure it out, then something else would happen...

oh, and the t5 sucks!!!

I would say the most common problems with the fox is operator head space.

Another problem is shifter placement. If you have long legs, it gets hard to reach third gear without leaning forward.

T5 trans is junk in stock form.
Heater cores are weak.
Stock handling sucks.
Its hard to find one without rust these days.
Torque boxes are tack welded in place and rip easily.
***Ponyboy302, the torque boxes are the mounting " brackets" on the body for attaching the rear control arms. 2 uppers and 2 lowers.***

The biggest problem around here is THEFT! Once you make it fast and people see it, it becomes a target. Several of my friends have had theirs stolen.

Fortunately, most of the problems are cheap and easy to improve.

the biggest problem is deciding which parts to buy for your mods lol .. also seems like a lot of guys here have idle problems
