I put pony emblems on my V6 that didnt have the alignment
holes in the fender. After debating how to do this and get them
even and straight, I made a template out of 1/4' " thick plexiglass.
It has a cutout for the emblem and two pins that ride on the door
jam gap. Just measure 13 3/8 inches down from the fender/hood
gap and mark with tape. Place the emblem into the template and
afix it with some tape. Then remove the backing from the 3M VHB
tape on the rear of the emblem. Place the template on the vehicle at
the right height and keep the pins against the jam gap. The emblem
is being held fixed quite tightly and hovering just above the paint
surface. Once all is aligned, press the emblem into place all at once.
Peel the masking tape from the emblem and template. Done fast and
straight. The pins extend from both sides of the template so its right
and left handed by just turning around.

PM me if you would like to use it and pass it along to another Forum
member. Its no use to me now and it oh so slick at putting Ponies on.
