Welcome to the forums. I would look into a CAI, Tuner and Muffler. Then look at some gears and a LSD. For grilles, I would consider a CDC grille, like one of the satin type retro grilles with the tri bar running pony. Here isgrille like th eone I was talking about.....

I was wondering the same thing, I'm in the Frisco/McKinney area (North of Dallas) and was interested in seeing some other members 'Stangs.

Hmmm I have a stupid question - what do you call that insert (not the grill, but the part right behind the vanity plate - it is in the lower middle of the front bumper) ? And also, do they sell different inserts? Thanks

Nice car. I have Satin Silver as well, and really like it.

The effect of a tune on the Mustang can't be overstated. It makes it like a totally different car. Throw in a CAI and muffler, and it's a stunning difference. Everybody has their own way of doing things. I perferred to go with "GO" rather than "SHOW" at first. That does not mean that's the right way to do it, but going for some"GO" makes the car SOOO much more fun to drive.

So, if you want go, I would suggest some or all of these

1. SCT XCal2 tuner - $300 for tune only or $600 with CAI
2. Muffler - Many choices, figure $250
3. GT Takeoff front and rear swaybars - Figure $100.. this will make a nice difference
4. GT Takeoff wheels and Pirelli tires - $400 or so

The above cost you $1350 and will turn the car into a different animal. Totally different. If you spend all your money on "SHOW" and can't afford these "GO" items, you will really be missing out. If you can afford both, go for it.

I'm a bit late here, but welcome to MF! Alot of good advice so far. Unless you are deadset on 18" wheels/tires, I would suggest going with 17's. Take-off wheels & tires are cheap (relatively), and replacement tires in 17" will be cheaper than 18" tires. Check eBay for either size to see what pops up.

Thanks for all the great advice. I know alot about body work, so that is why I was leaning toward the "show" prior to the "go", as I do not know much about working on late model vehicles. I do agree, and will change my Mod list to show 17" wheels, as opposed to 18". Can you explane to me what the SCT XCal2 tuner - $300 for tune only or $600 with CAI actually does to the car? Also, how do the sway bars affect the performance of the mustang. In regard to the muffler, any particular choice? And does going with duals impact the performance, more or less, than going with a single axle back system?

Is this an auto or manual. Not to take the fun out of it but you have 210 at the crank. Closer to 170 - 180 real wheel horsepower. Fastest ways to up it are cold air intake and tune. For a few more ponies get dual exhaust with a crossover pipe of some sort. Just a guess on my part, that will net you maybe 200 rear wheel horsepower. Those are definitely great places to start. depending on how much you want to spend, you can get new cams and headers and that will get you to 250HP but they're like $1200. Somewhat more important in our engines than how you're making the power is how it's getting to the ground/wheels. Most people would recommend switching to either 3,73 or 4.10 gears. Even stock everything else, they'll wake you up. Most who do gears get a traction lock too (since the gears are already out) then you can do two wheeled burnouts instead of one tire fires, which still look good on that side. I haven't bought anything from a manufacture yet, just other owners. I have a DeMolet CAI, tuner, tunes, and GT manual mufflers and I've spent $210 so far. Check forums and craigslist.
