Default Differences Between 4.0 Mustang & Ranger/SUV Engines?

I have never seen anything on the differences between the 4.0 engines that Ford puts in their Ranger pickups & Explorer, and the 4.0 in the 2005-2007 Mustang. Can anyone fill me in.

i think the 4.0 in the ranger is a pushrod motor and the 4.0 in the stang is a single over head cam motor but dont quote me on that one
pretty sure

The 4.0engine in the Rangers, Exploders, etc. is the same SOHC engine as in our Mustang's. We get a very slight increase in HP, about 5hp. No doubt due to the more advanced ECU than anything else.

The 05 explorer according to this site, have the same hp but more torque, 254 ft/lbs. I believe this is due to the longer intake runners on their manifolds. As a comparison the same site has the corrected hp numbers for our car here.

I would think trucks and suv's are tuned a little bit diff than a mustang too. They know what people are buying a mustang for other than a ranger or suv.
