Anybody have any thoughts on this theory? If the throttle is miscalibrated, then the pcm will put your car into a limp mode (wrench light on instrument panel) when traveling at 70 mph on the freeway with cruise control on. *By the way, I may have caused the miscalibration by not following directions to a tee.
The "limp" mode is more than the wrench light comingon. What's the problem, the events that lead up to the problem and what directions may you not have followed to a tee?
Well, had TSB 06-9-9 done earlier in week. (Fuel pump replacement). Replaced fuel filter next day. Three days later driving home from work doing 70 with cruise and cars wrench light comes on. Stopped car and restarted. Got car home and limp mode comes on again. As I understand it, fuel related things cause the limp mode to come up. Scanned codes were P2135,P061B, P2104,P2111,P2135 again at end.Since then, I disconnected the battery, reset computer, No problems in last 100 miles. Of course dealer told me to wait till it happens again so they have something to go on. The procedure I did not follow to a tee was the one to recalibrate the throttle sensor at the accelerator. Turn on key wait for service lights to go out, Press accelerator, release, and turn off key. I did not turn key off immediately. Waited 10secor so.
P2135-Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A"/"B" Voltage correlation
P061B- don't know
P2104- Throttle Actuator Control System-Forced idle
P2111-Throttle Actuator Control System-Stuck open
P2135 at end.
The only part of a car that has limp mode is your transmission. It will only run like 15-20 mph if your auto goes into limp mode. The wrench light just comes on when a trouble code is recorded. I think you are talking about the ECM?

Thanks for responding. I thought the wrench light was limp mode. I thought check engine light came on when codes were recorded. Anyway, the car would barely go over 40MPH. Haven't had any more problems in over 100 miles since I disconnected and connected battery. Car seems to run okay now. It may have been a fuel issue. ECM= PCM (Powertrain control module). PCM is what is in the manual.

Miscalibrated throttle
Anybody have any thoughts on this theory?
