New Spark Plugs would not correct the low compression reading on Cylinder 1 ...

What does your coolant look like? Do you have oil in your coolant because is sure sounds like you have coolant in your oil. Drain the oil and see what it looks like. Once you determine that you do in fact have a cracked something .... you cannot do much more diagnosing until you take the engine apart ....

What does your exhaust look like? Smoking ... or smell sweet like AntiFreeze?

Some of the guys over the the C.o.l.l.e.c.t.i.v.e have swapped out 4.0's for V8's so maybe you can pick up a cheap low mile engine to replace yours. That may be the cheaper route.

As a sidenote, look for another 4.0 engine if need be and wiegh it verse repairs/upgraded engine.Maybe someone can even help ya find another engine on the cheap as an option as well.I don't agree with the v8 swap personally, for the money you have vested in a brand new X already,i am sure you would like to use it.Fingers still crossed for ya on the outcome, that damage is minimal.

well, they seem to have found the cause of the rough idle/clicking sound. they said that there is a problem with the hydraulic timing chain tensioners. other than that, the only problem is the tuner not installing properly.

Default X-Charger Extreme Update

Recieved this straight from Dave in response to my inquiry about the Upcoming Intercooler Option.

Hi Stephen,

The X-CHARGER XTREME intercooled upgrade is real. The design process is complete and, IMHO, it's pretty sweet. It looks like the heat exchange will be installed thru the grille opening without removing the front bumper cover. We are trying to get some vendors for the IC core and heat exchanger lined up. The cost of aluminum has gone thru the roof and we're trying our best to keep the cost down.

Doug is scheduled to come out in September and tune the X-CX.

Thanks again for choosing X-CHARGER,
Dave

For more information, give us a call at 707-254-7025 Monday thru Thursday 10AM to 4PM Pacific time.

Thanks for your inquiry,
Dave Vanek
