Consider what you want the mod for. If it's steetability and stoplight to stoplight performance, the instant on torque of the X gives great response in the most used 2000-4000 RPM range. If you want to be a track junkie, then maybe you look for a turbo. Don't get hung up on HP numbers, you only make max HP at max RPMs. It's the shape of the torque curve that really gives you the true feel of the power adder. There are ton of ricers that make 275 HP, but don't have max torque till 4500 RPM... that's too high in the RPM band to get instant head snapping fun.

I'm not a track junkie, don't plan on it. I'm a street guy who wants that big kickback when I floor it and a fast acceleration. But when I floor it, my car goes past 2000-3000rpm and usually sits between 4000-5500rpm until it hits the last gear. What does that mean?
