I don't know what you mean electronic throttle system. If check engine and GAS CAP lights are on, then check to make sure the gas cap is close tight.

Did the car go into limp mode? Will it not start? Check the throttle position sensor and make sure it is not loose.

Most likely the the throttle body/throttle body sensor... any chance your car is still under warranty?

My car started doing the same thing... got worse over the course of a couple weeks... I just bought a new throttle body which includes an new sensor... it was pretty reasonalby priced..

No its not under warranty where would a good throttle body be located for purchase? What would be the first thing I would want to do to start mods with not much money??

Anyone have a picuture of where this sensor is located under the hood? I ran into the same issue once, but have not seen it happen again. But just in case I need to replace it, I know where it is.

How hard of a install would this be?

Best bet is just to replace it with the stock Ford TB...

actually... looking at the TSB... looking at the wording:
WARRANTY STATUS:
Eligible Under Provisions Of
New Vehicle Limited
Warranty Coverage And
Emissions Warranty
Coverage
Might want to go talk to your friendly Ford service manager... I think the Emissions Warranty is longer that the 3/36... See what they can do for you...
