Default stang gets black eye

so im parked on the side of the street, when a 80 yr old lady in her lincohn towncar starts backing out of her drive way straight towards my car. Im waving my arms trying to get her to stop and then she backs right into my car. Right after I spent 2 hours cleaning it no less...
Needs new fender, bumper, turning signal light.
Cop comes and tells her she is at fault because the law in Tennessee states that you must "pull out of your driveway, not back out...." Who the hell ever heard of that? He told her even if it wasnt the law it would still be her fault for improper backing.

Question? Can I now get that gt bumper? Does her insurance write a check to my ford dealer that does the work, or to me?

every insurance company does it differently. You will have to wait and see what happens

depending on the shop they will work with you. but since she was at fault you should be able to take it wherever you want. they will pay for the fender bamper and such. the gt upgrade will require the grill and lights also. plus harness of course. be prepared to fork that out. myself i would go with an aftermarket bumper that still takes your grill unless you have the extra cash.

Wait and see if the insurance will write you a check or not. Also, the GT Bumper is not your only option, there are plenty of other good and unique after market front fascias out there. The GT Front will surely be the cheapest tho.

ouch, there are many ways to handle insurance issues, but one thing is for sure, goto more than one place for a quote on the repair. also talk to the people about what you are wantin to do and get a quote for that work. in some cases they will submit the work and argue the damages with the insurance for you and if you get a body shop on your side you can normally get some things that you are looking to get out of the repair.
