This is an EASY one...

Get you some GT takeoffs. Cheaper and EXCELLT upgrade!

You will need the rotors and the brackets for the calipers. Part number for the brackets is 6R3Z-2B134-B...l/r are the same (I think).

Rotors are $40 for the pair! That is smokin!

Don't you need the calipers as well? I was wondering about this but haven't looked into all that I'd need to do this?

No, you won't need the calipers. All you need are the new caliper mounts (which relocate your stock calipers further from the hub of the rotor to accommodate the larger rotor size) and some GT Takeoff rotors.

If you look hard enough you can find some good deals. Exhaust your options! Craiglist...ebay...MF classifieds and others...

Will the GT brakes work with the 16 inch V6 rims?

No, the GT front rotor is bigger and you need at least a 17" wheel to clear it once you change the bracket on the caliper.

The rear brakes are the same on the GT and V6 models.

Yep, you cant use 16x7" rims with the GT brake rotors/caliper brackets.
Thats my problem. Once you go GT rotors you loose the ability to use
your perfectly good 16x7" stockers during the winter months.
But it goes the other way also. You cant use 18x8.5" OEM rims
on a V6 with V6 brakes because of clearance issues also.
