hopefully the $6k price tag for the xcharger xtreme is speculation and stays under that. for a first tune up those numbers are quite impressive.

in all fairness one would figure it will. remember that the complete kit will be just that a complete kit. upgrades are that upgrades the new manifold and transition bracket to mount the blower to the manifold are pitched for the new ones where the new complete kit has them. so one would think a savings it there. not a ton but some none the less.

just sit back and enjoy if i wasn't in Cali and needing the ic to be absolutely sure i will pass carb i would be totally happy with the set up the way it is. the average guy would be too. the car is plenty fast and i have plenty of fun with it just the way it is. and i would bet Dave will be selling plenty of the future kits with or without ic's there are just some that need need need.

i mean really think about it. i live in so cal. the last 2 years have been some of the hottest years we have had. last year i troubleshot my fan that was only coming on high speed the low speed winding had failed and i was running hot all the time till they replaced the fan. i have 30k on my car with the x 45k total. i have numerous track runs and over 40 dyno pulls i was the test car with numerous peaks and teaks on the tune different air set ups and no air set up all in the pursuit of the perfect tune. i ran my car for over 2 years and 25k with the old fuel rail set up and from time to time i do drive it like i stole it. and the car still runs fine. and no hat ait problems at all !

so do i need the ic? hell no! do i want the ic ? in don't know it does look cool. but since the carb passed with the ic i will get it because i don't want to show up and have some anal guy fail it because its not there even though he probably would not know what he was looking for if it is even listed on the carb cert.
that being said i am looking forward to feeling this snappy crisp sensation Dave and Doug are talking about! i think they should name the new kit the " Snappy Crisp X" myself.

so lets all take a breath it will take Dave a few months to even get this thing shipping if all goes well.
like they say " smoke um if ya got um" the price will be fair for what it is. i am actually gonna have him ship me most of the stuff less the ic and manifold of course so i can get the heat exchanger pre installed.

So what has the problem been with the belt slippage? And have there been any improvements with the numbers? Like say, for a smaller pulley (2.8) and the wet-x system hooked up to it?

The intercooler will have to wait a bit, but I just submitted a request for a check from my bank for $5000. So I guess that means if all goes well, I will be in the x-charger club!

Now I am sick to my stomach (5k is alot of money), and the wife said "i guess" which is as good as yes!

Congrats man, Yes it's some pretty major coin, but the first time you hit the gas after it's installed, I guarantee that queasy feeling in the pit of your stomach will be replaced with an ear-to-ear grin....

I am hoping so! Now I am just going to be like a kid before Christmas for the next couple of weeks until I get it and it is installed. I can't wait!
