i purchased the iSimple ISFD73 (Peripheral Electronics) last December from Best Buy and just wanted to give an update on the product. Some may remember all the problems i experienced with an older green Peripheral Aux adapter i had installed. The thing wigged out my cars dash computer and i ended up getting refunded for it. i then purchased an Audiovox fm modulator which worked well (plan on installing into my ranger). i hesitated on this iSimple unit because of my past experience with Peripheral but gave it a shot nonetheless. i really wanted the "Digital Quality" sound for my stang along with the compatibility features without having to purchase another head unit. I've had it in for 2 months now and its been GREAT! i do get minor glitches from time to time but they are rather insignificant and not worth a bash. deck navigation is pretty cool but too bad there is no shortcuts when scrolling through a long list of artists or albums. thats the only sore thumb but creating more playlists of music you listen to the most helps out. overall, i highly recommend this unit as long as you buy the ISFD73 model. i've read of issues with the iSimple but that was a problem with a different model number. ISFD73 is what you want for the 05+ stang.

that looks cool, I've always wondered if they made something like that for are cars that didn't involve the fm radio or a new head unit.
But really $150 seems a bit steep, i could get a whole new head unit with direct ipod/usb hookups right on the from of the unit for 50-100 bucks more. : /
I might check it out tho, i like the idea of a digital quality hookup to my radio without losing the stock head unit.
Alot of aftermarket head units are nice but they really look out of place compared to the stock radio, unless your talking about the flat lcd screen kind, with the gps and touch screen and whatnot. those are awesome.
yeah, i hear ya on the price but my thinking was this... either go big with a H/U ($400+) or compromise with a good adapter that allows me to keep my factory radio. i chose the latter.
sancho what factory stereo do you have? I've been looking at an alpine headunit that would cost me around $400 to play my ipod.. but this seems to be alottt more reasonable..
I have the stock radio and just bought one of these units and it works as advertised. Best part was buying it at circuit city friday night for 60 bucks. last time I was there they had 2 units left so if yiu have a circuit city near you go on over and see if they have any left.
