Default X-Charger Tools/Items

Ok I have gone through and gathered all the items listed to install the x-charger, but I am having some issues with a few things.

Torx T20 socket or bit - Dave mentioned on certain 07 models this isn't needed?
Torx T30 socket or bit - Dave mentioned on certain 07 models this isn't needed?
E8 inverted Torx socket - I think this falls under the same category as above?
1 1/16 crowfoot wrench - I checked 5 places and couldn't find this, is it really needed?
teflon paste thread sealer (Permatex 80632) - I remember seeing where someone says this is terrible and just get the teflon tape?
trim adhesive (3m 08031) - can't seem to find this either....

Suggestions on any of the above? X arrives tomorrow and I have setup an install party for Saturday, we will take pictures and video, but not sure if we will be as cool as afixer to do a webcast :P

you need one of the torx bits to get the MAF out of the housing, dont remember which size. torx bits are common, get them from any hardware store.

i *thought* the e8 inverted was optional, iirc it was for a stud on the alternator that i didnt have. i will consult my manual when i get home, you should be able to figure out if you need it or not. i bought a whole set from sears, and it was expensive for something i will never use.

crowsfoot can be purchased online from sears, i didnt find an actual store that carried one. think it was like 28 dollars.

i used teflon tape.

i used spray glue.

Yea I saw the crows foot on Sears website, but before I bought it for a 1 time use, I wanted to see if I really needed it or not.

I have plenty of torx bits, so I should be all set.

What is the spray glue for?

use the spray glue on one side of the gaskets to hold them in place. the crows foot is not a must . it can be done it just makes it easier thats all.

a heck of a lot easier. You could clean your garage floor with a toothbrush too, but it's not much fun without a proper tool. I'd shell out for the crowsfoot.

+1 to torch vert, i had a BEAR of a time getting the EGR valve off even WITH the crowsfoot. wouldnt want to do it without it. might consider putting anti seize on the threads before you put the new one on.

Nothing to offer, but please take pics......lots of them. After the install, I'd like to come over and see your car. I'm really contemplating doing the same. That or the Powerhouse Turbo setup.....can't decide. Good luck!
