I saw on eBay an item called Mindblower Performance that supposivly boost your hp as well as your mpg. It's a Stage 6 Fuel Maximizer Performance Module.
This is what it says;
"The way our Performance Modules work is by sending a modified signal through a factory sensor in the engine compartment, called the IAT sensor. This signal alters the computer and the computer then reprograms itself for a more efficient air/fuel mixture. Your vehicle from the factory may come too rich or too lean - meaning too much fuel (rich) or not enough fuel (lean). You may see cars and trucks on the road blowing a lot of black smoke out of their exhaust pipes. This means that their motor is running rich and they are throwing money away and wasting all of that gas and hurting the environment as all of that black smoke is raw, unburned fuel.
By modifying the air/fuel mixture to a more efficient mixture, you are tapping into hidden performance, and by gaining performance in your vehicle, you do not have to push the gas pedal down as hard to get up to speed, so therefore the fuel savings are enormous!
We are essentially getting the same effects that a $300.00 handheld tuner makes without writing to the computer directly, thus making it MORE safer and dependable!
You may be thinking, "What is the difference between this MindBlower Performance Module and a $300.00 handheld tuner?" The way an expensive $300.00 handheld tuner works is by modifying and rewriting the computer directly by plugging into the OBDII port underneath your dash. The main downside (besides the very expensive price tag) is that a handheld tuner has to completely rewrite your PCM! (Power Control Module, this is the brain of your vehicle!) There is always a good chance that your PCM will become corrupt while the handheld tuner is downloading (if there is any power interruptions, it will stop downloading - the computer will then be half-written, and the car won't start!) and would require a tow to the dealership to get the PCM repaired!
Not only this, but your dealership can see that the computer has been rewritten by a handheld tuner as many leave footprints in the computer memory! Many dealerships check for this during normal service, routine maintenance and warranty work and could VOID your warranty for using a handheld tuner as they write to the PCM module directly!
Since the effects of the MindBlower Performance Module are not permanent when uninstalled, you can simply remove our Performance Module and the computer will then reprogram itself back into factory specifications automatically, leaving NO footprints in the memory since it doesn't write to the computer directly!"
So what do you guys think? Is it too good to be true?

its complete bull..... anyone who claims a product is "MORE safer", in reality it's probably much more dangerous. They're not providing you with any dyno numbers or proof that it works/is safe. You would be risking damaging your car with a product you've never heard of, and it would probably cost more to fix, than it would have, to buy a tuner in the first place.. If its too good to be true it probably is; if a new product comes out that will do wonders for your car, you will definitely hear all about it on here! keep doing research, & dont be a sucker for promises of inexpensive HP (thats how i ended up with a $100 paper weight called a throttle body spacer)
More safer? I wouldn't even buy from them if they cannot even speak proper english! If you get this get the turbinator, the thing that makes it so you can run on water, throttle body spacer, and the snuggie so you can cuddle up with all this useless junk. Might as well get the SCAM WoW to wipe up the tears.

I've heard of those things. Apparently its just a resistor (or something like that) inside a plastic box, and it doesn't do anything.

I think Sandy posted this as part of her community service requirement handed down by the judge She knows her cars...
Thanks 28HopUp, I posted it because it looked so authentic and wanted to know if anyone has heard or used the product.
I know you can't always go by ads (ex. the Terminator) but the company did offer a money back guarantee.....not that I would try it, I was just enquiring.
Someday, I'd like to get an X-charger.
