Default S&B Cold Air Intake

I just recently installed a S&B Cold Air Intake on my 2005 V6 and I love it... it gets rid of the hesitation when accelerating and sounds great... the laser etching on the top matches my personalized plates... I love the reaction it gets when people look under the hood... everyone loves it

Looks good! :-)
Was there an extra charge for the engraving?
Also, did you get a tuner with it?

Was there an extra cost to have the laser etching done?
Did you get a tuner with your CAI?

What tuner are you using and whom wrote the tunes?
I would think the tune would have more with eliminating
the hesitation/throttle lag than the actual S&B CAI would.
Hence the question, 'did you get a tune as well as a CAI
or just a CAI alone to cure the hesitation problems?'

I bought the SuperChips tuner and used it about three weeks prior to installing the intake and it didn't get rid of the hesitation completely... but after the CAI install there isn't any hesitation at all... I love it... and if you buy the CAI directly from S&B they will do the laser etching at no additional charge

How did you "use it"?
Did you modify fuel and timing tables
or did it come with 'canned tunes'?
I would not see the benifit of modifying
the timing/fuel tables or installing a canned
tune without an aftermarket CAI on there.
It might even be detrimental to the engine.

it comes with a performance tune which might have been improved by the CAI... the tuner said nothing about needing a CAI although it seems to have helped a lot by combining the two
