The top contender right now is a 2006 white with pony package. I test drove it and it's SICK, but that could just be because it was the first day I had ever driven a Mustang.
They're asking $16,700. It's a CPO, 18,000 miles, pony package leather interior all that good stuff.
I'd rather get a car thats a couple of years older with all the extras than a 09 bare bones one, especially since this ones CPO the warranties would be about the same.
I did some reading but I still have a few questions. Do you all think this is a good deal? I figure I can get it down a few hundred if anything. Are there any specific things I should check out or beware of? It looks properly maintained and it ran great, but I'm going to have it looked at by a mechanic I know just in case.
This is my first car and I can't believe the hours finally upon me.
Thanks for your time.

This sorks.
I had a two page reply, accidentally clicked on a sponsor link
and hit the return button and the whole reply went into thin air.
Here is a summary.
That price is way high.
If I could only get that amount for my pristeen 07 V6.

Trust the salesman not.
Take the amount of cash YOU are willing to pay
and shove it into his face. You will soon be owning
that stang for the price YOU wanted to pay.
You thing you feel all warm about getting this vehicle.
The salesman gets the same feeling when he sees cash.
Use this to you advantage. What that can be bought today
can also be bought tomorrow as well. Take your time.
You have been saving for a long time, dont get bent over.
I small travel size container of Vaseline gets the point across
to salesmen really quick. I taped a few hundreds to my hat
when I went Challenger shopping.

Got all grubbed out
to be able to get a look at her on the lift and such. I didnt
even test drive it on that dealership visit. (Test rides tell you
very little about a new or used vehicle yet some buy on the
test ride alone. Place yourself outside the vehicle when testdriving).
Check for the water leak
and for a virgin exhaust system...
It took me 2 years to find the NEW S197 that I wanted at a price
I could pay.
And yet another year looking for that perfect Challenger.
And I dont have that much time left on this earth but getting
what you want and not settling on what someone else wants
you to have is priceless.
You have your whole life ahead of you and a few weeks or months
looking might be the right path for you, grasshopper.
USED stang shopping is downright daunting and time/fuel consuming...
