WAY back when the new stang first came out Doug and I tested a UDP on my V6. The results were disappointing, 4 RWHP and 6 Lb FT of torque( stock car other than Doug locking the converter). The numbers claimed by the UDP manufacturer are inflated. Doug believed the numbers being high from the manufacturer were due to the torque converter unlocking and then locking again at high RPM, this unlocking and locking was due to stock Ford programming. Doug locks the torque converter to eliminate this artificial "spike" in horsepower and torque so the engine pulls strong up to the red line. So bottom line is the UDP doesn't give you much bang for the buck, in fact the alternator pulley change does just about the same numbers 4/6 with a lot less money and a lot less time and effort to install it. Having said all this the engine did rev quicker, and no other adverse operating affects were noted. I ran the pulley for about a year until going with the "X" at which time I gave the test pulley back to Doug.
