Finally getting around to putting the GT muffler on the V6 but...
... I just needed some more input.
The V6 muffler has 3 hangers. The GT muffler has 2. No big deal but I assume the 3rd on the V6 was for additional support for whatever reason and was curious if anyone had issues going from 3 to 2. My assumption is it'll be ok since it was fine on the GT.
WTF is that cylinderical thing that's bolted on the rear of the V6 muffler, parallel to the muffler's passenger side? Counterweight? Too weird...

That counterweight is for vibration issues.
My sixxer had 2 hangers like the GT so you have spare parts, lol.
Doesn't matter because the body shell is the same regardless of model Mustang.
From V6 to Shelby, all different options are bolt ons so you'll have provisions for all parts made.
Same as the body shop owner above.
Big thingy is a vibration dampener.
The sixer uses three hangers because
has to support 50% more weight than
the dual GT set-up.
Keep the bracket and bolt with the 6er
muffler as it might be needed at a later date.
(Hope you gotsa the GT M/T takees-off)

You lost me there, 157db. I've had the stockers off the GT since I put the Stingers on about 2 years ago and the passenger side muffler is sitting in the g/f's garage for the swap...

But it sounds like I'm good to go.
I think he's saying that he hopes you got a takeoff GT muffler from a Manual Transmission car because that one is supposedly better than that from an Automatic Transmission car. I have a manual. I think you can tell from the serial number on the muffler or something like that.
