Default GT fog lights on v6 question!

I have heard that the 2007 mustang gt fog light grill will not fit on the v6 bumper, if this is true, why wont it fit?

The two bumper covers are different as are the two grilles so the by the book answer is they are not interchangeable. Early on however there were some people who were able to modify the GT grille and make it fit. Nowadays there are so many aftermarket offerings either replicating the GT look or offering a more unique design that I don't think anyone bothers with the hassle of making it work. Use the search feature and you should find plenty of threads related to this topic.

+1
Just do a search, there have been tons of threads about this already. You could always just get a gt takeoff bumper and grill with foglights from somewhere like newtakeoff.com, I thought the gt grill didn't fit in a v6 without modification...

The stock v6 and gt bumper covers are slightly different, and grills do not interchange.
There are plenty of aftermarket grills for the v6, and if you really want a GT grill, finding a gt bumper cover is easy.

They look the same on the surface, but on closer look they're slightly different. Some people have figured a way to force it in place, but I understand it's not a complete clean look. And that goes for any GT grill, not just '07

Sucks. I have a GT and kinda thought about getting the blank V6 grill that doesn't have anything in it.
