does anyone know if 3.8 headers will fit on a 05 4.0?

The cheap copies on eBay are generally not American... Chinese if i remember right. But i agree, you might as well save some money and go with the knockoffs if you aren't real hardcore. I've actually heard nothing but good things about them, but I am sure you could find a horror story if you dug for it.

Long tubes have better sound and performance. cost more and require a lot more work. plus relocation of cats and O2 sensors. Shorties are a cheap and easy bolt on for a few ponies (I think someone somewhere said 9?)

Most people i know who have gone long tube get rid of their cats, which = crap sound on the 4.0. You can get a little more power out of the long tubes if you are f/i, but otherwise it's really not worth it imo. Shorties for sure, save yourself the money, time, and frustration.

get the ebay headers for $100...they will give you a bit deeper sound on your lower end from like idle to 3500 rpm....as for HP gains i would honestly say 3-5, not 9
