Default Does V6 look alright if only rear bumper is GT?

Q: Going duals on a V6; if I were to just replace the rear bumper cover with a dual GT style; how badly does that affect the lines of the car? Or will I need to get the sideskirts and a GT front as well? Right now, just planning on making the matching cut on the V6 cover.

GT500 bumper will match though from what i recall reading. I dont think the gt/cs is much more costly if you are buying it new

^True, OP just remember in this case the GT/CS bumper has the same issue the standard GT one does, that is the sides are painted the body color. You could buy a CS and paint it like a GT500, but it might be easier to get the GT500 first. I'm not sure on the price difference because I bought my bumper used for $80 (still not installed yet, unfortunately...)

I've got a black V6; what did you mean by the "sides are painted the body color?" Was going to see if I could get my hands on a take-off from a GT, but as 157 said, if it doesn't fit with the lines, screw it; I'll just have the V6 bumper notched.

I have a GT bumper with V6 rocker panels and V6 front bumper on my black stang. I didn't see the big point when not much difference in the rocker panels. If it was a different color I might have reconsidered.

I was refering to the sides of the bumper. On a GT/CS bumper, just the diffuser portion is painted flat black, where as when the bumper is painted like on a GT500 the flat black wraps around the whole bottom portion to match the black rockers on the GT500/V6

Yeah I really can't imagine its a big deal. Even if you get the GT front it would still look ok, but if you were to switch to GT rockers I think it would really pop. Helps make the car look lower too.
