Default Mustang GT Stock Sway Bars, Is There A Difference Between Coupe & Vert?

Hi,
I just bought a set of GT Sway Bar, front & Rear. My car is a convertible. I am old there may be different bars on coupe and convertible.

The ones I have are part no. REAR BAR; "6R33 5A771 AA FORD R648B", FRONT BAR; "6R33 5482 BA FORD R648B". I am told that these may have been from coupe.

Any clue to that. Anybody out there with a GT convertible original bars that can check their part no for me.

Thanks

Yes, the vert has a different rear sway bar than the coupe. I has bends to go around the additional frame supports for frame stiffness. The part number ends in "B" not "A" for the convertible rear.

It looks to me like he has a 'vert compatible bar there (at least from the photo, the angle makes it tough to be 100% sure)

As far as I can tell from guys that bought them recently, the original coupe bar part # now comes with the 'vert style bar that'll fit either car.

May be a dumb question, but are there any type of sway bars on the v6? If so, are the stock GT sway bars going to really give you much improvement as far as handling goes?

The V6 has a smaller front sway bar and no rear sway bar. I got a GT take-off front sway bar and GT vert rear sway bar(I'm told the vert sway bar is bigger) for mine. Yes it made a big difference.

Ok, this might be a handling mod I have to do, the take-offs are pretty cheap. First I gotta get the exhaust installed (tonight or tomorrow) then order the Xcal II and C&L CAI, then maybe I'll look into it. I will say however, my 05 vert handles 10x better than my old roommates 95 GT vert.

Can you tell me the part number of your rear sway bar GT vert.

From the post, It seems the GT front one is identical for both the coupe and the vert. Am I right saying that?

Jumping in here because I have my receipt handy. The vert rear sway part number is 6R3Z5A772B. The GT front is same whether coupe or vert. Hope this helps. You'll love the difference!

Contact this man:
Clevparts@aol.com
I don't know the part number but he will. He'll give you everything you need, just tell him what you want to do.

Get your Gt front sway bar here:

It's only $30! The front sway bar is the same for the GT coupe and convertible. HTH!
