Here is a video of the single MRT Aeroturine Exhaust.
IMO, the exhaust is sweet, it sounds really good. It has a low grumbling sound right when your cruising and it sounds great. BUT, it is very loud. I'm going to put some sound deadoner in the trunk to reduce some of the low grumbling that gets to your ears. Tomm im going on a 700 mile trip without it, and whether or not I can walk out of the car with or without a headache, will determine whether should try for the deadoner tape, or return it. Yeah... it maybe a bit too much for me.
But I did some decibel numbers on the car. The stock numbers were what I got as a reading, they may differ from the original ford.com readings, but I used them as a control.
*All conditions done with windows up, fan off, and radio off*
Stock Exhaust:
-1 foot from exhaust tip Idle - 63 DB
-1 foot from exhaust tip 2,000 rpm - 80 DB
-1 foot from exhaust tip 3,000 rpm - 82 DB
-Cup Holder Idle - 56 DB
-Cup Holder 35 mph - 69 DB
-Cup Holder 45 mph - 72 DB
-Cup Holder Full Throttle - 84 DB
MRT Aeroturbine
-1 foot from exhaust tip Idle - 78 DB +15
-1 foot from exhaust tip 2,000 rpm - 88 DB +8
-1 foot from exhaust tip 3,000 rpm - 92 DB +10
-Cup Holder Idle - 52 DB -4 (due to low pitch)
-Cup Holder 35 mph - 70 DB +1
-Cup Holder 45 mph - 73 DB +1
-Cup Holder Full Throttle - 89 DB +5
I hope this helps people get an idea about how loud it really is.
I have to admit, at sometimes it can be annoying.
