Install DeMoulet CAI, and Tune
I don't have the best pictures yet but I got and installed my CAI and XCAL 93 tune yesterday, I love the response of the car now and wished I would or could have done this earlier. It took roughly 45 minutes including reflashing from an 91 tune. Best money I ever spent on the car. I've enclosed (partial pictures) pictures of the install. I heard good things about the tune but I didn't expect it to be this good. I will post complete pictures in the Morning. Let me know what you think....

Install and place the MAF sensor .... now the tune and ready to go.
Ordering and questioning DeMoulet was a great experience, what wonderful customer service.... made me feel welcome to ask questions and explained everything I need to know to a tee. IF you nee a CAI and TUNE check him out besides it matches the car too.

RE: Install DeMoulet CAI, and Tune
Nice, I went with the demoulet intake too. Only problem I had really was that the MAF sensor gets in the way of the barrier thing, kinda looks like **** IMO. I'll probably tinker around with it sometime when I have the time to make it look a little better, not really too important though.
I've been really happy with mine for all of 2 weeks, hopefully you enjoy yours too!

RE: Install DeMoulet CAI, and Tune
I installed the same kit on monday, and while people could argue it's performance benefit over the others (I'm guessing all about the same), it sure does look the best when custom painted to your car (torch red in my case).
I had some minor notes/issues about the v6 install though:
1) the sensor is resting against the shield, actually holding the shield in place a bit. I loosened the clamp on the painted pipe and the rubber elbow and slid the pipe in maybe 1/2" or so. I don't see how this affects how it operates at all, and it sits a little better.
2) the pictures on the site are of the GT install, and under the front part of the air shroud, it appears that's where the GT's distributor sits (?), anyways since we get the same air shroud, it looks a little silly notched out when there's nothing under there. Similarly, the v6 could go back a little deeper, since our engine block is longer and you aren't going to come in contact with the cam shield.
3) The rubber pvc hose doesn't look as good as the stock one that's all custom molded to shape. Minor gripe, but it would have been cool to reuse this piece.
4) I was playing with the data logging on the SCT Xcal2, and it appears the 93 tune I got shipped runs a little lean? My "short term fuel trim bank 1" floats from 0.817 to 0.964, and bank 2 from 0.830 to 0.998. 1.0 is stochiometric. I didn't hit WOT on that run. I don't know if this is something to worry about or not. The tuners like to keep all this information a "black art". It would be really nice if they could help us decode these values, and actually make use of the xcal2 I payed 300+ for. They're worried we'll all stop paying 75 dollars for tune files, although I just want to be able to use the device in a diagnostic/health monitoring fashion. If a drive up to evolution performance for a custom tune will protect my engine, i'd be all for it. After all I just voided my powertrain warranty installing it (no matter what they say), it'd be nice to be able to apply an ounce of prevention myself.
All that aside, the car runs great, and I know that the tunes he ships are conservative, so I cant wait until after all my mods are done and I get a more aggressive dyno tune.
Also, +1 for him being a great guy to deal with. I like this kit alot.

RE: Install DeMoulet CAI, and Tune
stratjakt Great post and it was very informative. I did see some of the same problems besides the running lean. I think it runs great, nice preformance and I happy with it, tremendously (sp) happy. The color is dead nuts perfect and it preforms!
The most important part and I can't stress this enough, DeMoulet is the prefect example of customer service. The Kit is $525 shipped and Doug a Bama dyno'd it at 196 rwhp @ 91 tune and +5 for a 93 tune. This is on the web site and I'm not making it up. Go to the site and see.
