my car wont start now with the custom tune, it starts but then the car dies. Is it because I have to put the cold air intake in first because i think the tunes are for the cold air intake. it is the x cal what should i do.

if the tune is made fo rthe cai i think you should put the cai in and see what happens o_O

I would think the fact that you don't have the CAI in wouldn't cause the car to die.. you'd probably just get a CEL. If you actually have the CAI why dont you just put it in? If you start the car without it you will just run too rich and waste gas.

because i didnt have time to put it in today. so i thought i would just try putting a tune on it. so why do u guys think the car starts and dies.

The only way to tell you is for you to put the CAI in. If you don't have the same problem after the CAI is in then that was the problem. If you do still have the problem then there is something wrong with the tune file.

its definately the fact that the cai isnt on, your getting way too much fuel and not enough air.
