Default Changing Shifter Help

I am planning to get a Pro 5.0 Short shifter. Everywhere I look on the internet it says that it is for 05-07 GT. Went to the local speed shop and they said that it would fit and work fine. My question is that has anyone got it done and have they done it themselves. If anyone can post a site or post detail instructions on how to replace the shifter I would appreciate it alot.

I have an automatic, but most of the guys are doing the HURST shifter, judging from posts on here.

Quite a few of the site sponsors (Brenspeed, Hillbank, V6 mustangstuff) sell Hurst shifters
(you can't post links to non-sponsors)

Go for the Hurst. I've had mine for about six months now and love it. Got it new off E-Bay for 189.00.
Straight foward intall and looks great.
