Default Dyno Vs. Mail order tunes

ok so im thinking of putting the xcal2 and c&l from b@mm@ tunes but i live in el paso tx, where i discovered that there is a performance shop that specializes in mustangs and they have a dyno and they are xcal2 recognized and if i get it there they will dyno tune it for me. By the way the shop is called THR i think its one of the sponsors. So anyway is getting it dyno tuned much better than just mail ordering tunes from b@mm@ cause i heard so manny good things about the job doug does. i wil apreciate any feedback thanks.

You will not be disappointed by a Bamachips (or Brenspeed) tune. If all you're tuning for is an intake then I would save my money and just get a mail order tune. They are not as good as a dyno tune, but you'd be surprised how close they are. If you had nitrous, or some kind of forced induction then I would say to only get a dyno tune.

???

How much do they charge? Brenspeed and Bamachips both charge $75 for a single tune.

+1.....unless he's comparing the dyno tune to the 3-tune pack from bamma that costs $185.

Even at $185, thats still cheaper than any single dyno tune I've ever heard off. I thought dyno tunes cost between $300-400.

might depend on the mods. a local shop was offering $199 for a dyno tune but only for cars with basic bolt-ons.

I was looking at some dyno shops, and they charge dyno runs for $100 to see your hp, not tunes. So I think that's what he's confusing it with.
