I may just stay with my Y pipe dual conversion. I dont much like the sound of an X either so if I were to change it would be to an H.

The quality of that video wasnt all that so it didnt do my headphones justice LOL it did soundd pretty good tho since there was no popping from the exhaust when he revved it up. I have yet to hear long tubes on a 6 so I doubt thats a route I would go. I'm still interested on what some high flow cats would sound like on a stock 6 with my kind of set-up...

Urs sounds great BTW LOL those boomtubes are killer!

I've heard some V6 mustangs sound very close to a GT but others I've heard sound more like a riced out honda. So you have to be carefull with exahust choice on the V6.
.
there is no power differance between an H, X or TD setup on a v6 as they are an even firing motor

and no v6 mustang will ever sound like a GT for the same above reason.

OK, what about running no cats on the track versus hi-flow cats or stock cats.

Of course it won't sound exactly like one, but I have heard several sound VERY close to a V8 sound and if I didn't know better I would have thought it was a V8 at first. I'm referring to an S197 V6.

doesnt matter what your refering to, a 90* odd fireing V8 will never sound like a 60* even fireing v6

you will net a small differance compared high flows to an O/R set up, but high flows dont make it sound as high piched, plus you can pass emissions with them

One way to have no restriction at the track and still be legal on the street . You could put a dump in front of the cat and tie it in behind the cat .
Like this (Sorry if its hard to read ignore the dots)

>>>>>>>>\>>> CAT FLOW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>>\ ................................................ /TIE in Y>>>>>>>>>>>>>
...............DUMP............................... ........... /
.................. \ .......................................... /
................... \>>>>>BYPASS pipe>>>>>>>>>/

The bypass pipe doesn't have to be the same od as the exhaust pipe dose because all it dose is relive the flow .
