p0406 and p0108
My 2005 V6 5spd mustang has the p0108 and p0406 codes showing. The car is stock except for K&N cold air intake. The car seems to run fine except that it take a little while to idle down after driving. For example when you come to a stop sign and puch in the clutch it will idle at 2k for a few seconds and then will return to normal idle.
Any ideas what to check?
I know the p0406 is EGR sensor circuit high and p108 is map sensor high but I am not sure what to try first. I am used to working on older 70's and 80's cars and am not up on all the computer stuff. Do I just try replacing these sensors or what?

Not sure if this helps the V6 cars. but the GT's have a problem with their alternators in the 05-07 models. Only we got code P0340 which is a circuit sensor, similar to your P0406 code. the dreaded P0340 meant we needed to replace our alternator. Just an idea...but maybe your alternator is dieing? Worth checking before you start replacing sensors and other expensive parts.

Make sure the egr and nearby connectors are plugged in properly and the vacuum lines to the control module are intact. I don't know where the map sensor is, but I think it is near the front of the intake too, near the egr.
Another possibility is that the egr is stuck, and that could affect the map reading somewhat.
Because the map is reading improperly, and if the egr is stuck, either of those will affect idling. The map sensor is used by the computer to control various things, so idle can easily be affected.

I'm having this same problem. I have engine codes: P0108 and P0406 coming up.
I've tried a few things to get rid of the codes but I haven't found a fix yet.
Things I tried already:
Cleaning MAF Sensor
Running Seafoam through engine and gas tank
Cleaning Throttle body.
If anyone could help please let me know.
