Return it is what you need to do.
It does nothing for the stock engine
performance and is going to be trouble
sooner or later (sooner in your case).
Unless you have the heads, cams,
headers and associated exhause system
to support the minor additional airflow
it might provide that would be needed
for such upgrades.

No sending the comp or PCM or ECU
away for anything. The guy at the stealership
is FOS. Dont believe that guy for nothing.

It would be hard for the tb to mess up the computer. Put the stock one back on and see how it does.

And yeah, the TB upgrade is not worth it for most people, and causes lots of problems; just do a search on here and see for yourself!

Now that you are on here, look around and ask before doing mods; you'll get good ideas on what works and what doesn't.

The Zabteck throttle body is the one to go with. I don't know that I've heard of anyone having troubles with it, whereas problems are almost inevitable with the BBK. Get rid of the BBk and get a Zabteck.

Yes the zabtech is the way to go its just a stock ford throttle body that they do all kinds of machining to to make it flow better think close to 70. The bbk is junk and you have to bolt your parts on to it. Zabtech gives 7hp on blower cars

Mine went bad in sept 08, and I had it replaced. Six months later, the same thing, two weeks after that they said it was the excel peddle, so they replaced that, two weeks after that they claimed it was the cars brain, so they replaced that!!! one week later I broke down again, and trashed the car. Bought myself a 2009!!!
